THE 13 THINGS I LOVE MOST IN MY KITCHEN & WHAT'S ON MY WISHLIST

These are a few of my favorite things that help me cook more creatively, simplify the process and just elevate our food experience at home. If you're looking for the perfect gift to get the girl who is almost always found in her kitchen, I gotchu.

1. DONUT PAN

I use this donut mold all the time for baking protein donuts like these ones.

2. MY FAV GLUTEN-FREE COOKBOOKS

The Defined Dish, True Roots & True Comfort occupy a cute little space on a shelf in my kitchen. My food philosophy is very similar to these two authors and I turn to their recipes all the time when I hit a wall and need new inspiration.

3. PLASTIC-FREE & AESTHETICALLY PLEASING DISH BRUSHES

Everyday, I see what I can do about transforming ordinary moments into more enjoyable experiences. One of the mindless tasks that results from cooking as much as I do...is dishes. I play a podcast on our Google Home, light a candle and elevate this chore a bit with quality cleaning products.

4. ELECTRIC SALT & PEPPER GRINDERS

I adore these things. I buy my Himalayan pink salt & cracked black pepper in bulk and load them into the grinders. They make seasoning food while you're cooking so quick and they're beautiful on a platter or board alongside your range.

5. UNCOMMON JAMES WOODEN SERVING BOARD

They've sold out of the larger size that I have, but do still have the mini version in stock. I use this board nearly everyday for food styling & serving. I take a lot of my food pics on this thing because I love the grain of the wood, copper hardware and shape. A good board makes a beautiful, timeless gift that will see so much use.

6. GLASS STRAWS

I tried the stainless steel and copper straws but didn't love the metal taste. We do a lot of smoothies & iced concoctions around here and these glass straws are perfect. They're wide and I like that you can see if they are truly clean, unlike the opaque options out there.

7. INSULATED TUMBLER

I use this marble tumbler religiously for collagen water, iced coffee & smoothies. I bought it when I was at altitude in Colorado struggling through morning sickness. It really does help me hit my water intake goals to have a container that keeps my drinks ice cold...and it doesn't hurt that it's cute and fits in my car cup holder.

8. YETI MUG

Once you start pouring your coffee into one of these, you just don't go back. I was reheating my coffee 2-3x every morning before I finally got myself one. It keeps my coffee piping hot and comes with a lid if I need to take it to-go for school drop-off or on a stroller walk with Harlow.

9. IMMERSION BLENDER

In the colder months when I'm making warm, comforting dishes like my apple squash soup, I find myself reaching for this immersion blender constantly. It's such a helpful tool and isn't difficult to clean. Any foodie would love to have this, especially around the holidays.

10. STAINLESS BENTO

Like I said before...I try to elevate the everyday to-do's and making lunches is one of those, not just for my kids, but my husband and me too. Whenever I cook dinner, I make extra to pack for all of our lunches the next day. At home, we use a variety of glass containers for food that needs to be reheated and for everything else, I go stainless. A bento box with fun containers will stretch your creativity, I promise.

11. INSTANT POT

This kitchen tool needs no explanation. Everyone who has an Instant Pot will tell you it's 100% worthwhile, mostly because of the time it saves but also the easy cleanup. I make so many recipes with big batches of shredded chicken, pork, beef and even steel cut oats that I prepare in mine.

12. COOKIE SCOOP

This is the perfect little stocking stuffer for someone like me who is constantly scooping batter for cookies, protein bites and ice cream. I also use this cute little thing for adding nut butters to smoothies and for forming my salmon cakes & meatballs.

13. NESPRESSO MILK FROTHER

We're shameless coffee snobs over here and this is one of those kitchen luxuries we never knew we needed. I was gifted mine and have used it every single day since. I couldn't find our exact model because it's a few years old, but this one is probably even more legit than ours.
